You just have to have the W.I.L.L. (With Information Lose Limitations)to make a difference in other peoples lives. I always wanted to be in a career where I was helping others through personal contact and contributing to their happiness. There was no doubt that I could achieve this result through a sharing and caring profession while still being a stay-at-home mom.
We do need to recognize our business as our profession. Sales-persons are needed for people to acquire anything-from buying a house to buying a car to, most importantly for us, purchasing the many different products we all have to offer. In addition, as I said before, isn't everyone in some form of sales? Doctors sell their capability to make us feel better. Honest Abe Lincoln said, "A lawyer's time and advice is his stock in trade." Now if that's not a statement about selling, nothing is! And, teachers sell every day on the value of what they aregoing to teach—and even the value of homework!
I think you will agree we are all involved with people selling to us all the time. You know, when you think about it, ideas, yes, even ideas are sold. An idea that stays in someone's head is just a thought; but an idea that is "sold" to someone is placed into action and then it has meaning. Have an idea? Then you too must put it into action to be a successful salesperson.
